CanadaGenWeb’s Immigrants To Canada Project debuted after a suggestion by Mary Kelly. Inspired by the Irish-Canadian list, it is hoped this project will connect more genealogists by opening the list to more than just those whose ancestors came from Ireland.
An Immigrant Ancestor is a person, in your direct lineage (grandparent, great-grandparent, etc) who was born in another country and came to Canada to live.
This list is meant to list immigrant ancestors (not their ancestors, nor their descendants), the country they came from, and when and where in Canada they emigrated to. Add yours today!
